2022 Stuff The Bus School Supply Drive

Every year, countless students start the school year without the supplies they need to succeed. That's why, for the month of July, we are collecting supplies at every GFCU branch! ✏️ ? ✂️

Last year, we were able to collect thousands of items and send hundreds of kids back to school with a backpack full of supplies. This year, we hope to do even more! ? If you can't make it out to our branches, CLICK HERE to donate items on the Stuff the Bus most wanted school supplies list.

Our branches are in a friendly competition to see which can collect the most supplies. If you would like to support a branch, please list which under the "gift message" section by selecting "Add gift options" when checking out on Amazon.

We are working in collaboration with Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive and Communities in Schools of San Antonio, which works with campuses across Bexar County to support students of all ages with the resources they need to stay in school. Brent Mora, GFCU's Vice President of Mortgage Lending, serves on the CISA board.

The Communities In Schools’ (CIS) Stuff The Bus School Supply Drive is one of city's largest school supply drives that serves thousands of under-served students and families. Many of these families are below the poverty line and cannot afford all the supplies their children need to start their school year. The funds raised through this event will be given to about 160 CIS partnering schools (elementary-high school) across 12 school districts to purchase supplies for any student in need at that campus. The Stuff The Bus School Supply Drive helps to alleviate the stress of back-to-school expenses and allows students to focus on their education with the tools they need to be successful.
